Thomas H. Gale House (1892)
1027 Chicago Avenue

Designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
(This is a private residence and does not offer tours.)
The second of the Bootleg Houses just west of Wright's Home & Studio, the Thomas H. Gale House is nearly identical with the Robert P. Parker House. These design for houses was derived from the more expensive residence Wright had designed earlier in 1892 for Robert Emmond of LaGrange, Illinois. They were built later that same year by realtor Thomas Gale who lived in the house pictured above.
